Spike tooth harrow

ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLING
THE
HARROW
(See
Figure 1 ana
2).
1.
A.
Lay
side rails
out
parallel
and
approximately
40'' apart.
The flat
side of
the
rails
should
face
each
other
.
B.
Next, lay the
tooth bars between the
side
rails with
the teeth down.
Note
:
Each bar
has a
different spacing arrangement
for teeth.
Note
also
that each
bar has an adjusting
flange welded to the top
of the bar.
This
flange points rearward or
to
the
rear
or
the
harrow.
C.
I
nsert the round
end
of
the first tooth bar
into
the most
forward hole
(
A)
in each
of
the side
rails. Place
the center bar in the center
hole
of
the rails
(B)
and then
the rear
tooth
bar,
which
has the adjusting pin
attached,
into
the
most rearward hole (C).

Put
a
cotter pin #11 into
the holes
on each
end of all bars and secure
by bendi ng
the
ends
.
2.
A. Attach
the
adjusting bar
#5 to the three
tooth
bars.
The
3
adjusting holes (D)
in the bar
should
locate between the
center and
the
rear
tooth bars.
The adjusting
bar
mounts on.
ri ght
side of the
tooth bar flanges.
Secure
with
capscrews
and
nuts.
De
not
tighten.
B.
Place
adjusting
pin in
the first
or second
hole on adjusting bar
and insert retaining
pin
#12.
3.
A. Attach lower end
of
each
rear
brace #3
to
side
rails
.
Tighten
capscrew and nut only
finger
tight.
DO NOT
SECURE.
