OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4 Camera Functions 4.1 CoaXPress Output Format The CoaXPress downlink outputs can run at CXP 6-4 (25 Gbps). The frame rate will automatically be adjusted to reflect the change in output bandwidth as shown in table 7.
OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4.2 Frame Rate and Exposure The frame rate in free-run exposure mode is controlled with the FrameRate command. The frame period is specified in microseconds. The minimum frame period of the camera (maximum frame rate) is determined by the output format and the resolution.
OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4.3 Camera Mode The exposure mode of the camera is controlled using the Camera Mode command, and there are three options: • Free-running • External Trigger Timed • External Trigger Width 4.3.1 Free-running In this mode, a rising edge of internal trigger the start of integration and readout.
OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4.3.2 External Trigger Timed In this mode, a rising edge on the synchronization pin is used to trigger the start of integration and readout. The integration time is defined by a Exposure Time Command. The sensor autonomously integrates during this predefined time, after which the GLOB starts and the image array is readout sequentially.
OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4.3.3 External Trigger Width In edge-triggered level-controlled exposure mode the exposure of the frame is controlled by the active state of the input trigger. The frame period and exposure commands have no effect in this mode. Timing for this mode is shown in Figure 9.
OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4.4 Image Region of Interest The Image Region of Interest (ROI) feature allows you to specify a portion of the sensor array. You can acquire only the frame data from the specified portion of the sensor array while preserving the same quality as you acquire a frame from the entire sensor array.

OZRAY Pollux Series - 50M CXP 4.5 Offset and Gain 4.5.1 Black Level Offset The outputs from the sensor have a black level offset which is programmed using the Black Level Offset command, respectively. For optimum image quality these values are calibrated on every camera at the various output formats.
