8 Operating the Fingerprint Reader The operation of the FP A Family depends very much on the software used or its implementation in the customer’s POS application which Diebold Nixdorf does not provide. In any case, fingerprint reading is very simple, once it is activated and ready indicated by blue lighting on the window just press your thumb or index finger on the oval-shape window and wait for a prompt to indicate completion.
