ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
HEALTH WARNING : Immediately remove heated socks and discontinue its use if you experience any
discomfort or if the heated socks become uncomfortably hot.

If the heated socks begin to malfunction during use, immediately remove heated socks from feet,
turn off batteries and disconnect battery from heated socks socket.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your Pèlerin heated socks, basic safety precautions should
always be observed, including the following : WARNING : TO REDUCE RISK
OF FIRE, OVERHEATING, ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR INJURY : READ ALL
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR PÈLERIN OUTDOORS HEATED SOCKS.
ALWAYS KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
1.
Use the heated socks only for their intended use.
2.
Heated socks are for adult use only. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with
the heated socks, batteries or charger.
3.
Do not submerge the heated socks in water or any other liquid while wearing them.
4.
Keep the batteries dry at all times as this ensures safety and reliability. If a battery gets wet, do NOT
turn it on. Allow the battery to completely dry in a dry, cool space and then try reactivating the
battery before inserting into battery pocket. As with any electrical item, battery may be damaged if
submerged in water.
5.
Do not cut, tear or puncture the lining of the heated socks. The heating element is housed within the
lining and any damage to the lining may cause the heated socks to malfunction or cause injury.
6.
Do NOT disassemble the batteries, charger or heated socks. Any disassembly may result in a
malfunction, damage or injury.
7.
If battery is cracked, broken, cut or ruptured, avoid contact with skin and immediately discard.
8.
When in operation, the powered up batteries may affect compasses and other magnetic devices.
9.
Do NOT operate battery and charger with damaged plug, power cord or heated socks malfunctions
or any component that has been damaged in any manner. Immediately discontinue using heated
socks.
10. Do NOT handle the polarized plug of the charger with wet hands.
11. Keep all components used with your heated socks away from fire or any other significant heat
source.
12. Store heated socks and components indoors in a dry, cool space within a temperature of 41 °F (5 °C)
and 86 °F (30 °C). Performance may be negatively impacted if heated socks are frozen or stored in
extreme cold. If this occurs, thaw or warm up heated socks before activating.
13. Do not charge batteries while in the heated socks.
14. We recommend that you fully charge the heated socks prior to storage if your intention is to store your
heated socks for long time periods (such as from one cold season to the next).
When using your Pèlerin heated socks, basic safety precautions should always be observed,
including the following :
HOW TO CHARGE
Prior to first time use, fully charge both batteries.
The time needed to fully charge both batteries is
approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. You can charge each
battery individually or together. However, if you
commence with charging only one battery, do not
plug in second battery during this charge cycle as
this may cause damage to the batteries. Change
both batteries before charging the other. Do not
charge batteries while in the heated socks.
To change a battery, insert the plug into any
standard electrical outlet. Ensure the plug correctly
fits into the outlet. DO NOT modify the plug in any
way. Insert one plug connector into a battery socket and then insert the second plug connector
into the other battery socket. Allow batteries to charge for required time (see figure 1). Once charged,
remove plug from electrical outlet and disconnect the plug connector from the battery socket.
Each battery will show four blue lights while charging. The number of illuminated blue lights will
indicate the charge level of the battery. To ensure full charge, do not prematurely disconnect the
battery and charge the entire duration time, as specified on figure 1. Do not charge beyong this
specification, this could drain the battery.
