Avoid Injury from Rollaway Accidents
Death or serious injury may result if you attempt to mount
or stop a moving machine.
To avoid rollaways:
1. Select level ground when possible to park machine.
2. Do not park the machine on a grade.
3. Lower the bucket and/or other work tools to the ground.
4. Pull the pilot control shut-off lever to LOCK position.
5. Place F-N-R lever in the neutral, and put the brake switch
in the P (parking brake) position.
6. Turn the auto-idle switch off.
7. Run the engine at slow idle speed without load for 5
minutes to cool down the engine.
8. Stop the engine and remove the key from the key switch.
9. Block both tires and lower the bucket to the ground.
Thrust the bucket teeth into the ground if you must park
on a grade.
10. Position the machine to prevent rolling.
11. Park at a reasonable distance from other machines.
