Service and maintenance of the hose reel

The brake ring (1 piece) and the rubber O-rings (2 pieces) must be checked every year. Generally
this is done when the installation is made frost proof. We advise you to dismantle the hose reels
and to stow them in a frost proof location.
At least once every 2 years, the brake ring and the rubber O-rings should be replaced as a
preventive measure!
Note:
Before you begin, check that the water tap is turned off. We also advise you to drain the
remaining water (that is in the hose) from the hose. You can do this by unreeling the hose and
then reeling it up again.

Replacement of brake ring and O-rings

To replace these items, follow the steps indicated below.

Stow hose reels

To remove the hose reels for winter storage, follow steps 1, 2 and 3 and replace the bolt and the
washer with a lock tab on the brass spindle.
If the hose reel has been removed for a longer period then smear the spindle with Vaseline before
replacing the hose reel.
