Installation
This breaker operates when installed in any position. It is immaterial
whether the incoming mains supply is connected to the top terminals
and the load to the bottom terminals or vice versa. To ensure the
protection of this breaker from excessive short circuits, the maximum
accompanying fuse, to be wired upstream, is a 63A gl type. It is also
important that any load current likely to pass through the breaker does
not exceed its IN rating, by correct selection of the fuse protecting the
load, which should be lower than (or equal to) the IN rating of the
breaker.
Operation
Press the test button to check if the breaker is functioning correctly. This
should be done every time the breader is used and at least every month.
For correct operation, the voltage between phase and neutral must be
in the range 200 to 250V.
The test button circuit operates independently of the earth, so it is
necessary to check the maximum earth resistance rating (Rm) is in
accordance with any local standard or regulation; guidance figures are
given below:
