When enabled, a non-replayable heartbeat starts between Cigent and the C Series Advanced SSD such that if the drive fails to receive the proper response in time, the drives will automatically secure. This prevents any chance a hacker could stop Cigent protection once a drive is unlocked.
Command Log Audit C Series Advanced SSDs automatically store every command sent to the drive in a tamperproof location in memory on the drive. Cigent also periodically writes markers to the log to indicate the activity was performed with Cigent running and that the activity was properly authorized.
