It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to
avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

This warns you of dangers to your health and indicates
possible injury risks.
CAUTION:
This refers to possible hazards to the appliance or other
objects.
General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the
appliance into operation and keep the instructions including
the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the in-
ternal packing. If you pass the appliance on to a third party,
always include all the relevant documents.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and
for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for
commercial use.
CAUTION:
Handle the scale with care because it is a measuring
instrument. Do not drop it and do not load it above its
maximum measuring range.
• In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all
packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of
their reach.
WARNING:
Do not allow small children to play with the plastic foil.
There is a danger of suffocation!
Unpacking the Appliance
1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling
material and cardboard packaging.
3. There may still be dust or production residues on the
appliance. Rinse the bowl under warm running water and
then dry it well.
Assembly
1. Remove the two nuts and the screws from the holding
cross.
2. Mount the holding cross for the bowl on the appliance
with the previously removed screws and nuts. Make sure
that you use the holes with the recesses.

Using the Appliance
The appliance is designed to display the weight of food and
ingredients.
1. Place the appliance on a firm, level surface.
2. Place the bowl in the holding cross.
3. Check the position of the pointer:
The pointer should be in the 12 o'clock position when
unloaded. If this is not the case, correct the position of
the pointer. To do this, turn the adjusting wheel on the top
of the appliance. Be careful not to unscrew the adjusting
wheel from the screw.
4. Place the item to be weighed in the centre of the bowl.
When the pointer stops moving, you can read the weight
on the scale.
5. To add another ingredient and weigh it out, bring the
pointer back to the 12 o'clock position. If you now add
more ingredients, their weight will be displayed.
Cleaning
CAUTION:
Do not immerse the appliance in water for cleaning!
• Only use a moderately damp cloth to clean the outside
of the appliance.
• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
• You can clean the removable bowl in warm rinse water
with a little hand dishwashing liquid. Dry the bowl well
afterwards.
