    INSTALLING BATTERIES 1. Open the battery cover as shown. Battery cover 2. Insert two new AAA alkaline batteries (not included) following the polarity (+/-) diagram in the compartment.     USING THE OXIMETER Before using the oximeter, make sure your finger and the oximeter’ s finger sensor are clean. Please see “Care and Cleaning” (Page 8) 1. Press down on the edge of the oximeter and place your index finger into the oximeter’s finger sensor (nail side upward) as shown below.
