Starting Machine
1. Turn on air supply.
2. Turn on water supply.
3. Turn on main disconnect (should be mounted on the wall near the machine).
4. Turn on power switch of machine (Black and red lever on the right side on machine).
5. Once computer starts, wait until the blue Emergency Reset button on the operator
station begins to flash, this may take a few minutes. If the light does not start to flash,
turn off the machine. WAIT at least 2 minutes, then turn the machine on again.
a. Press and hold the blue button down for 1 second, then release.
b. Make sure the key switch is set to Run Mode.

  • Page 5 PIECES 1. Click PIECES. 2. This menu is used to bring pieces into the workspace. a. PARAMETRIC = Create shapes from a predefined list. b. FILE = Open a DXF file from a USD flash drive. c. LIBRARY = Open a saved drawing from the library. d.

  • Page 8 10. You may move pieces in the workspace using the following methods. a. Drag the selected pieces using the arrow cross shown below. Rotate the selected pieces using the arrow cross shown below. b. Coordinates: Click either the X or Y coordinate in the upper left corner of the screen to manually type the distance from the front left corner of the machines table to the lower left corner of the piece.
  • Page 9 iii. Click the arrow in the direction you wish to incrementally move the selected piece IN RELATION TO the yellow arrow on the selected side shown in blue. The distance the piece is moved is defined by the Step distance in the pull-down menu located in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Page 10 d. Rotate the pieces by clicking the -90 or +90 buttons to rotate in 90-degree increments. Use the rotation arrows to rotate the pieces in increments defined by the Angular Step value in the pull-down menu located in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Page 11 MACHINING 1. Click MACHINING. 2. This menu is used for applying tool paths to the pieces. Select the edge (profile) that you would like to apply tool paths to. A single click of a profile will select the entire profile highlighted in green.

  • Page 14 4. The AUTOMATIC drilling button will apply the drill tool to all holes in the project that have the same diameter as your drill tool. The MANUAL drill tool will apply the drill tool to only selected holes. 5. The DELETE button with the trash can icon is used to delete all machinings. It will appear when no machinings are selected.

The SORT button is used to arrange the machinings by tool. Machinings that use the same tool will be grouped together to minimize tool changing.

  • Page 19 SIMULATION 1. Click SIMULATION. 2. This menu is used to preview the machines motion. It is useful as a double check before running the actual program. 3. The START, START, NEXT, and END buttons are used to rewind, play, continue, and jump to the end of a simulation.

The MATERIAL button is used to change the type of material and the material thickness. 4. The TABLES button is where all tooling data is stored within TouchDrive. The Tools and Sequences buttons are the only options which will be used after initial setup of the machine.
