Changing the Algorithm
From the factory the TSR2 is set to algorithm '004' (all links
made), however this may be changed by cutting the
required links (see Figure1). To change the algorithm
number cut the links so that the numbers add up to the
required algorithm number, e.g., to set the algorithm to
'011' cut the links number 8 + 2 + 1.
Testing
1.
Clip the TSR2 cover onto the base, being careful
not to trap any cables or to obstruct the tamper
switch.
2.
Apply power to the Control Panel (mains and
battery). The TSR2 will show a four digit 'seed'
code and will 'beep' every 30 seconds, this may
be silenced by pressing any key. The Control
Panel will be in a tamper alarm condition. Enter
the user passcode to silence the Control Panel.

3.
Call the Central Station (or alarm company) and
quote the 'seed' code. They will reply with a
'Remote Reset' code.
4.
Enter the 'Remote Reset' code into the TSR2, the
display will go blank and the unit is now reset.
Once the TSR2 has been reset it is locked-out for
2 minutes preventing it from being re-triggered.
5.
Reset the Control Panel and return it to the unset
condition.
6.
After 2 minutes set the system and activate an
alarm circuit. Unset the system and repeat the
steps (3) & (4).
7.
Finally make sure that the user is properly
instructed in the use of the TSR2 (try a couple of
practice 'Remote Resets') and ensure that they
have the correct telephone number to ring for
the 'Remote Reset' code.
