3.6 Polycarbonate windscreen

► For use of the vehicle in a SRO regulated racing series, the use of the polycarbonate windscreen is
mandatory. For other racing series (for example Creventic 24h Series) the release can be requested
from the standard organizer.
► The advantages of the PC windscreen are, in addition to the weight savings and compared to the
standard laminated glass in the significantly lower susceptibility to stone chips and the resulting
cracking.
An installation of the polycarbonate windscreen without additional
WARNING
screw connection (MTH541918) is not permitted!
The hints in the installation manual regarding installation must be
WARNING
observed. Only the adhesive system described there with all its com-
ponents (primer, adhesive) may be used.
The use of a multi-layer tear-off film (MTH541912) is strongly rec-
NOTE
ommended for protection against scratches.
For cleaning (inside and outside) only microfiber cloths should be
NOTE
used. Use only mild detergents.
The specified tightening torque for the additional screw connection
ATTENTION
must never be exceeded.
10 Nm
