    General Screen Layout Thumbnail images: this area displays thumbnails of the frames you have prescanned. Scroll left and scroll right buttons: (scroll filmstrip thumbnails): if more than 6 images have been prescanned, you can use the scroll left and scroll right buttons to scroll through the thumbnail images.
  • Page 11 Scan to file: click this button to perform a scan on all selected frames and save each of the image directly after scanned. Calibration (light source): the light source is calibrated each time when you turn on the scanner. You can use this button to manually control the frequency of the light source calibration.

    ACQUIRE SCANNER IN PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS Follow the steps in this section each time when you use the scanner. Turn on your computer & scanner. The upper-right LED light is on when scanner is connected with power. Turn on other devices, if necessary.. Open Adobe Photoshop Elements.

    PRODUCE SCANNED IMAGES Prescan Your Filmstrip With a filmstrip, you can select a single image to prescan (step 1 below), or you can prescan the entire filmstrip and roll film (step 2 below ). Even if you want to prescan a full strip or roll film, It is recommended that you start with step 1 to ensure proper frame alignment.

    Prescan the entire filmstrip/roll film Click the Prescan Strip button; the entire filmstrip/roll film is prescanned. Thumbnails will appear across the top of the screen, and the first image scanned will automatically appears in the image area in the center of the screen. Scroll the thumbnails (if more than 6 frames) by clicking the arrows at either end of the thumbnails until the image you want to scan is visible.
