Before use

WARNING! Do not connect the chain saw to mains power before it is completely assembled. Always use gloves when handling the chain. Your new chain saw
may require installation of the guide bar, saw chain, sprocket cover, adjustment of chain, and filling the oil tank with chain lubricating before the chain saw is
ready for operation. Do not start the chain saw until the unit is properly assembled. Read all instructions carefully. Do not install any other size bar and chain
ASSEMBLY - Building the Machine
WARNING! Assembly methods depend on the type of your machine, so please take care to refer to the illustrations on page 2, assembly part. Take great
care when assembling in order to ensure this is performed correctly. In order to build the electric chainsaw please ensure you have the chainsaw body, the
respective chain, bar and the bar guard.
Removing the chainsaw cover : Remove the chainsaw cover by unscrewing the chainsaw cover screw. This is the inner of the 2 screws located on the side of
the machine. This is the inner of the 2 screws located on the side of the machine. Once the cover has been removed put it to one side. Please refer to page 2
and Fig I. The chainsaw sprocket will be located behind the chainsaw cover (page 2, Fig III).
Attaching the chain to the bar: Using gloves place the chain onto the bar. It is recommended that you place the chain on the bar from the tip. Please note the
direction of the teeth printed on the bar (the teeth will need to face away from the operator on top of the bar in order to cut). The chain will loosely fit until it
is placed on the sprocket (page 2, Fig II). Place the chainsaw bar against the base, over the chainsaw tension pin above the sprocket (page 2, Fig IV).
Attaching the chain to the sprocket: Ensure the tension screw pin is aligned in the correct position. Place the chain on the sprocket. Start at the sprocket and
work your way up placing the chain over the bar if needed. (page 2, Fig V).
Re-cover the Bar: When you have the chainsaw chain and bar in place loosely replace the chain cover. Ensure you match the chainsaw cover lug into the correct
slot. The inner screw will need to cover the tension pin to hold the bar in place (page, Fig VI, VII).
Fitting Attachments: Tighten the chain to the bar using the outer cover screw. Turn the screw clockwise to tighten and anti-clockwise to loosen. Check the
chain moves freely while moving it by hand using gloves 2 to 3 times. The chain guide teeth should sit 2 - 3 mm off the bar. Re-tighten the inner screw to hold
the bar in place (page 2, Fig. VIII).
Fill with oil: Fill the tank with chainsaw oil. This will prolong the life of the chain. The Max and Min display can be found on the opposite side of the tank. When
the oil level is 5 mm form the bottom you must refill the tank.
ATTACH THE CHAIN TO THE SPROCKET : Ensure the tension screw pin is aligned in the correct position. Place the chain on the sprocket. Start at the sprocket
and word your way up placing the chain over the bar if needed (Fig. VIII)
Tensioning chain
Always check the chain tension before use, after the first cuts and regularly during use, approx. every 5 cuts. Upon initial operation, new chains can lengthen
considerably. This is normal during the break-in period, and the interval between future adjustments will lengthen quickly.
WARNING: Unplug chain saw from power source before adjusting saw chain tension.
WARNING: Cutting edges on chain are sharp. Use protective gloves when handling chain.
WARNING: Maintain proper chain tension always. A loose chain will increase the risk of kickback. A loose chain may jump out of guide bar groove. This may
injure operator and damage chain. A loose chain will cause chain, chain bar, and sprocket to wear rapidly.
WARNING: The chain life of the saw chain mainly depends upon sufficient lubrication and correct tensioning.
WARNING: Avoid tensioning the chain if it is hot, as this will cause the chain to become over-tensioned when it cools down. The correct chain tension is reached
when the chain can be raised approx. 2-4mm from the chain bar in the centre. This should be done by using one hand to raise the chain against the weight of
the machine. Then tighten clamp nut with spanner.
WARNING: Tensioning the chain too tightly will overload the motor and cause damage, insufficient tension can provoke chain derailing, whereas a chain tight-
ened correctly provides the best cutting characteristics and prolonged work life. Check the tension regularly because the chain length tends to stretch with
use(especially when the chain is new; after the first assembly, the chain tension must be checked after 5 minutes machine operation); in any case do not tighten
the chain immediately after use, but wait until it cools down. In cases where the loosened chain needs to be adjusted, always unscrew the adjustable outside
ring before adjusting the chain tensioning screw/knob; adjust the tension and tighten the bar retaining nut/knob accordingly.
Chain and bar lubrication
WARNING! The chain saw is not supplied filled with oil. It is essential to fill with oil before use. Never operate the chain saw without chain oil or at an empty oil
tank level, as this will result in extensive damage to the product.
Never starve the bar and chain of lubrication oil.
Running the saw dry or with too little oil will decrease cutting efficiency, shorten chain saw life, and cause rapid during of the chain and excessive wear of the
bar from overheating. Too little is evidenced by smoke or bar discolouration.
Adequate lubrication of the saw chain during cutting operations is essential to minimize friction with the guide bar. your chainsaw is equipped with an auto-
matic oiler system. The oiler automatically delivers the proper amount of oil to the bar and chain.
The oil tank holds 250 ml of oil, enough to lubricate the chain for 20-25 minutes of cutting. Check oil level gauge prior to starting and regularly during operation.
Refill oil when oil level is lower than "MIN" marking.
Filling the oil tank:
1) Set chain saw on any suitable surface with oil filler cap facing upward.
2) Clean area around the oil filler cap with cloth.
3) Add chain saw oil until reservoir is full. You can choose SAE30 or SAE10.
4) Avoid dirt or debris entering oil tank, refit oil filler cap and tighten.
