When using for the first time

Place your earbuds in the charging case and press and hold the Function button for four seconds until the power indicators turn on to power on both your charging case and earbuds.

The language for your earbuds' voice commands is English by default. To change the language, scan the QR code on the product package to install the app for your earbuds, and modify English the voice command language. (For phones running EMUI 9.0, you can go to the Bluetooth settings screen to change the voice command language.)

Connecting to your phone

Bluetooth pairing

1. Open the charging case with your earbuds placed inside, and press and hold the Function button for two seconds until the case indicator flashes white. Your earbuds are now in Pairing mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and pair with the Bluetooth device "FreeBuds 2 Pro".

• If you pair your earbuds with a phone running EMUI 9.0 premium edition, when you enable Bluetooth, your phone will pop up a dialog box, indicating that your earbuds are detected. Then follow the onscreen instructions to complete pairing.
• Bluetooth connections may be affected by local electromagnetic interference, and this may prevent you from pairing your earbuds with your phone. If you experience pairing issues, try moving to a more insulated or low-interference environment and try again.

Automatic reconnection

When you place your earbuds in an open charging case, they will automatically connect to the most recently paired phone (with pairing records in both devices).

Your phone must have Bluetooth enabled and also be within Bluetooth range of your earbuds.

Double-tap function

When taking calls:

Double-tap either of your earbuds to answer an incoming call or hang up your current call.

You must be wearing your earbuds correctly for this function to work. If your call is processed incorrectly, please adjust your earbuds to the correct position.

When listening to music:

Double-tap your right earbud to play or pause music. Double-tap your left earbud to pause music and activate the voice assistant.

When in standby:

Double-tap your right earbud to play music. (Music player must be running for this function to work.) Double-tap your left earbud to activate the voice assistant.

1. You must be wearing your earbuds correctly for this function English to work.
2. Compatibility issues may occur with some non-Huawei or non-Honor phones.

Speech recognition

When taking calls:

• When a phone call comes in, you can say "Accept call" or "Reject call", and your call will be processed accordingly.
  When listening to music:
• In Standby mode, you can say "Play Music" or "Stop music", and your music will play or pause accordingly.
• When playing music, you can say "Previous song" or "Next song", and your music player will change tracks accordingly. You can also say "Volume louder" or "Volume softer", and the music volume will adjust accordingly.

You can change the language for the voice commands: Scan the QR code on the product package to install the app for your earbuds, and modify the language as needed.

Restoring to factory settings

1. Place your earbuds in the charging case and ensure that the charging case is open.
2. Press and hold the Function button until the case indicator flashes red. Your earbuds will now be restored to their factory settings.

• When your earbuds are placed in their charging case, the case indicator will flash to indicate your earbuds' power levels, and then go out. Your earbuds will then enter Charging mode.
• Power levels: Red: 0%–20%. Orange: 20%–80%. Green: 80%–100%.

Charging your charging case

• Your charging case can be charged using the packaged Type-C cable, or by using a wireless charging cradle that meets the Qi standards for wireless charging. If the charging case's power indicators turn on during charging, then your case is in Charging mode.
• When the power indicators are all off or only one indicator is steady on, then your charging case has little or no power. If so, please recharge your charging case.
• When all four power indicators of your charging case are on, it has fully recharged. Your charging case may then be removed from its power source.
