  • Page 2 15. Before moving the gantry under load, remove any obstacles and ensure that the load is not attached to the floor. 16. Spanco Gantry Cranes are designed to be moved manually. Do not push or pull the gantry with a lift truck or other vehicle.
  • Page 3 26. Do not allow the hoist trolley to strike the end stops or gantry supports at any time. 27. The system must be tied down if exposed to winds exceeding 30 miles per hour. Spanco considers it an unsafe practice to operate cranes in winds over 15 miles per hour.

    Fasten V-groove track to the floor using 3/8-inch lag bolts and suitable anchors. (For track supplied by Spanco, use a bolt in each hole. Otherwise, space bolts approximately three feet apart on each side of the track in a staggered arrangement.)
