    1. GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 PRODUCER The firm Alfaautomation can boast more than 20 years of experience in the construction of Double Mitre Saws. It is the acquired technological know-how, developed during years of researches in strict touch with manufacturing department and international commercialization the best warranty that Alfaautomation can grant to its customers.

    Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 2. MACHINE DESCRIPTION 2.1 WORKING PRINCIPLE The Double Mitre Saw, model T300/350, is a cropper at vertical descent with blades at 45 degrees. It has been designed to cut frames for pictures , furniture, windows or looms. The blades descent is controlled by a pneumatic system that clamps the mouldings on the working bench through a couple of pressors.

  • Page 6 Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 3.SAFETY 3.1 SCHEDULED USE The Machine is designed and built for 45° cuts of wooden mouldings and relative derived and similar ones like hard plastic or light alloys ( for these it is necessary to equip the machine with Mist Spray Cooling System and blades conformed to this object). The machine is projected for manual use only (under operator control).

    PRELIMINARY Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4. INSTALLATION 4.1 SHIPPING AND HANDLING The shipment must be effected by high qualified technical staff. The machine has to be shipped in a safe way to avoid any damage to its parts. All the protections, guard devices and wicket-gates must be properly closed and clamped. The machine has to be shipped like positioned for installation.

    Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4.3 PRELIMINARY ARRANGEMENTS To install the machine it is necessary to prepare a working area adequate to machine dimensions, lifting devices chosen and length of mouldings to be worked.   • Page 9 PRELIMINARY Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4.4 ASSEMBLY The machine assembly is executed by the customer following the instructions listed here below: • Remove by using a lever (i.e. a big screwdriver) the nails fastening the crate to the pallet: at this point the crate can be unthreaded off from upper side.
  • Page 10 Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4.6 CONNECTIONS To avoid any problem during machine starting, it is suggested to follow what is described here below. 4.6.1 Pneumatic connection On machine left side, are located the padlockable reducer-lubricator filter (B), the pressure regulator of pressor cylinders (C) and flux adjuster to increase or reduce the speed of blades descent or ascent.
  • Page 11 PRELIMINARY Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4.6.2 Electric connection The machine electric connection is realized under customer responsability and care. The connection must be effected width the terminal board placed inside the electrical panel connecting the line wires to the terminals marked L1-L2-L3 and the yellow/green ground wire to the terminal marked PE. In case of reverse rotation, invert the two phase wires into the terminal board: the wire and the plug have not to be supplied, because the machine is equipped with padlockable cut-out switch.

    Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4.7 PRELIMINARY CONTROLS The Machine preliminary operations before the 1st starting, must be executed by a technician appointed from the customer. Before machine commissioning, it is necessary to execute certain verifications and checks to prevent mistakes or accidents during commissioning step.
  • Page 13 The machine is shipped already set. Whenever would be necessary to execute again this type of adjustment, it must be done from qualified technicians that will be indicated, on request, from Alfaautomation. In case of not obey, further the immediate loss of warranty, Alfaautomation declines any responsability for damages eventually caused.
  • Page 14 Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 4) Fasten the screw D2 of a quarter turn (max) or according to how much you think it is necessary 5) Fasten until clamping the nut E2. 6) Clamp the screw C1. Check, using a comparator, if the blade has reached the desired angle, fasten the nuts A1, A2, A3; otherwise repeat the operations from point 1 to point 5.
  • Page 15 PRELIMINARY Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 The adjustment of cutting angle, like described in the points 1 and 2, is possible until the complete utilization of adjustment slots obtained from the supports. Unless you meet some difficulties, operating like above described, during the adjustment: unscrew completely the nuts A1, A2, A3 and verify the position of screws into the asole.

Before effecting the operations of blades replacement, the operator must supply himself by means suitable with individual protection (gloves) To replace the blades, operate as follows: - Disconnect the machine from pneumatic and electric plants - Open the frontal door unscrewing the special screw using the supplied hexagonal wrench - Clean the working area - Use a chiave a forchetta to stop the blade’s rotation (A)

WORKING 5.1 CONTROL PANEL The machine operating control buttons are: A= Run/Stop control B= Main Switch C= Emergency Control They are placed on the frontal side under the working bench (Run and Stop “A”); the Main Switch “B” is located on machine right side.

    Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 5.2 MACHINE’S COMMISSIONING To supply pneumatically the machine, connect the compressed air pipe with the reducer-lubricator filter, indicated like B in the figure 4.6.1 A, using the fast clutch supplied or a fast clutch of different type. To feed the machine, put the Main Switch (located on machine right side) on position “1”.

    PRELIMINARY Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 5.3 WAYS OF WORKING After executing the machine commissioning procedure,it is possible to use the machine in the manual modality: 1) Insert from the working bench left side the moulding to cut and slide it toward right 2) Adjust the pressor cylinders position like indicated in the point 4.8.1 to have a proper clamping of the moulding in position 3) Adjust, by the help of the handwheel placed on machines frontal side, the position of moulding rear support (point 4.8.2) (only for the version T300/A)

    Double mitre Model T2300-T2350-T2400 6 MAINTENANCE 6.1 STATE OF MAINTENANCE The maintenance operations must be effected with the machine in the conditions described at the voice “state of the machine” in the tables 6.6-A and 6.7-A. 6.2 MACHINE’S ISOLATION Before effecting any type of maintenance or repair , it is necessary to isolate the machine from feeding sources, making the following operations: 1) Open and padlock the electric cut-out switch (see the figure 5.7 A) 2) Open and padlock the pneumatic cut-out switch (see the figure 5.7 B)
