CFM Signature VERMOUNT CASTINGS VCS3008BI Series Installation Procedure

CAUTION: Some parts may have sharp edges; to avoid injury, wearing gloves during assembly
is strongly recommended.
Step 1: Attach the Battery Holder
Parts Required:
(1) Battery Holder Bracket
(2) U-clip Fasteners
(2) #10-24 x 1/2" Bolts (stainless)
Tools Required: Philips or Robertson (square
head) screwdriver.
NOTE: Remove the grease tray from under the
grill body (located below the console) and set it
aside until you are finished with Step 2.
Slide the U-clips onto the battery holder and align
the holes. Make sure the flat side of the U-clip is
on the same side as the flat side of the battery
holder. (Fig. 1)
Place the battery holder onto the inside of the bottom left flange of the console
as shown in Figure 1a. Fasten it by using two (2) #10-24 x 1/2" bolts (stainless).
Step 2: Install the Batteries
Parts Required:
(1) Plastic Battery Case
(8) "AA" Batteries (not included)
Wire Harness (already installed)
Place the eight (8) "AA" batteries in the
battery case as shown on the case. Locate
the battery connector under the console.
It will be hanging freely in the same area
as where you installed the battery holder
in Step 1. Attach the connector to the battery case and then
place the case in the battery holder. (Fig. 2)
NOTE: For VCS5008BI models, shorten the connector wire
by wrapping it around the battery case (Fig. 3) before placing
the case in the battery holder.
Step 3: Operating Instructions
To turn the lights on and off, press the "Console Light" button
already installed by manufacturer.
NOTE: To ensure battery longevity and to prevent damage to
the lights, it is recommended the lights be turned off when the
BBQ is not being used. Please also refer to the battery manu-
facturer's notes and recommendations as they offer advice on
the safe handling, usage and disposal of their products.
