This is carried out with the aid of running-on on reference points of the lathe.

SUA 125 NUMERIC 11.3. Lathe output utilization (Fig.11.1) In Fig. 11.1 there are mutual relations between: • spindle revolutons per minute and power output transmitted by work spindle. • cutting speed for diameter range 50 to 1050 mm and cutting speed.
  • Page 105 SUA 125 NUMERIC CAUTION: These values are target, the actual cutting force depends on the chip shape and other factors. Example: Workpiece of 700 mm dia is to be turned by cutting speed v = 50 m/min. According to the table (Fig. 11.1) spindle speed n = 22,4 r.p.m.. By the line interpolation the chip section is about 11,2 square millimeters from 630 mm dia to 800 mm dia and n = 22,4 r.p.m.

Warning: In the moment of the change of transmission speed range dont open any safety guard! Note: In case that above mentioned state may happen, make the small movement from arrested position with lever for given transmission range and give the lever back into same arrested positions.

SUA 125 NUMERIC Maintenance and testing of lathe. 12.1. Inspection. The inspection connected with - safety of operation. - reliability of operation. should be ensured by the lathe user in course of lathe life. The inspections of safety of operation are laid down by law and safety regulations in users’s country.
