OBU Setting

Basic setting of the OBU and assigning it to particular vehicle are carried out by an authorised employee of the
ETC Operator at TSO. OBU is ready for operation when delivered to the user. Check if the settings are correct.
The only setting, which may be performed by the user, is the setting of the acoustic signals. You can do it by a
brief (for no more than 1 second) pressing the control key.

Operation

OBU is designed for permanent 24x365 operation. OBU does not have a power ON/OFF key and starts working
when you connect it to the on-board power via cigarette lighter socket. If later you will disconnect the OBU from
on-board power supply, the OBU will continue operation using internal rechargeable battery. There are different
modes/submodes of the OBU operation described below.
You ought to use the OBU only in accordance with the guidelines of the User Manual and the OBU Passport. Not on
purpose usage of the OBU is unacceptable. Neither ETC Operator, nor OBU manufacturer shall be held liable for any
damages caused by non-intended or any improper use of the OBU, especially any personal injury, any damage of
property or any financial loss.
In case of a long stop during the trip while the outside air temperature being higher than +25
recommended to take the OBU out of the vehicle cab to prevent its damage and deterioration of operating
characteristics.
It is recommended to plug the OBU into the cigarette lighter socket only after starting the vehicle engine.
If you need to clean the OBU surface, please use special computer and office equipment wipes only.
Check regularly that the OBU and the power cable are not damaged. You should immediately report any
emergency, or breakdown or damage of the OBU by calling 24h Service Hotlines or attending TSO. For the purpose of
