- Page 3 MOUNTING THE BARCUS-BERRY DISQIS (Internal Mount) The Barcus-Berry DISQIS is recommended for installa- tion inside classical guitars, steel string guitars, dul- cimers and similar stringed instruments. The installation may be done inside the soundhole, underneath the soundboard where the transducer will be out of harm’s way.

- Page 5 you think best. Should that position prove unsatisfactory, test additional positions in 1/2” inch increments, reusing the same adhesive pad until you find the best position. See Figure 1 as an example.
- Page 6 CAUTION: To prevent damage to the instrument or transducer when removing the adhesive pad, be careful not to pull the wire or bend the transducer. Carefully slide a thin material such as a guitar pick between the soundboard and the pad to free the transducer. Residual adhesive should then be removed from the brass surface of the transducer by rolling it off with your thumb.
- Page 7 Once the ideal position has been determined, mount the transducer on the soundboard at that location with a fresh adhesive foam pad. If you are unsure you can install the transducer yourself, ask your Barcus-Berry dealer to recommend a qualified technician.
