AFT/SPL Installation Instructions:

FOR MAX BRIGHTNESS & EASIEST INSTALL (Especially Blue), Use 3/8-32HO (High Output) Sight Pin Light
1. Remove scope housing (2 Yoke Screws) from windage rod. Windage rod may be left attached to sight.
2. Install Axcel Fiber Tube (AFT) into 10-32 hole of scope to same side that windage rod was attached. AFT will be going
inside of windage rod when installation is finished. Do not over tighten AFT; doing so may break AFT or strip AFT threads.
3. Remove Pin Ring from scope. If using Blue Fiber, or for max brightness with any color, be sure NO-Kinks are in fiber, if
unsure- replace fiber. Note direction fiber wraps around Pin Ring, install in curved direction. With new fiber or existing fiber,
it should wrap so fiber goes around pin ring and is long enough to go through hole in scope & into AFT, & extend ~1/8" past
end of AFT. Fiber pin end must be flared.
4. Carefully insert loose fiber from Pin Ring into AFT hole where AFT threaded into scope. Very-Carefully re-install Pin-Ring
into scope housing, keeping Fiber from kinking or being pinched while simultaneously feeding fiber through AFT. As noted
in step 3; for maximum brightness or whenever using blue fiber; fiber must extend past end of tube inside of AFT ~1/8". If
fiber does not extend past end of tube inside AFT, use less wraps of fiber around Pin-Ring, or repeat steps 3 & 4, using
longer piece of fiber.
5. Flare fiber at exposed end until flush with end of tube inside of AFT. Do-NOT flare fiber into ball, it should be a flat or curved
inward flare (funnel shaped). A good way to flare fiber: hold the long end of a 3/32 (.094") Allen wrench and heat the tip of
the short end of Allen wrench with a butane torch. Once heated, slowly approach exposed fiber and if necessary gently
touch fiber with Allen wrench and quickly pull back. Reheat Allen wrench and repeat until fiber is flared flush with tube inside
of AFT.
6. Install scope with AFT attached, back onto windage rod, re-tightening 2 yoke screws per manufactures specifications.
7. Carefully thread 3/8-32 SPL into Axcel Sight's windage rod. Tighten down 3/8-32 SPL securely.
8. Bend wires coming out of SPL to side of SPL (Do-NOT bend wires back & forth; Do-NOT create loop w/ wires). Using black
rubber cap (included in PL DX Kit, or with SPL) push cap over bent wires and knurled end of SPL. Refer to pictures below.
For best results (if space), secure SPL wires with a zip-tie to windage rod. Allowing for elevation adjustment of scope, also
secure SPL wires to sight bar in front of P-Pack w/ a piece of Velcro strap (recommended).
