BATTERY INSTALLATION
This lock requires (4) 1.5V AA batteries. To insert the battery, remove the cover by pressing the tab
and removing the cover as shown in the illustration
above. Insert batteries and replace the cover.
To test the battery, enter your security code. If the batteries are low, the red light will come on
momentarily. Under normal use, batteries will last about 1 year.
TROUBLE KEY/OVERRIDE KEY
A "Trouble Key or Override Key" has been included in the event that you have forgotten or lost your
security code. Please record the number of your key in a safe location in the event the key needs to be
replaced in the future. To open the safe using the Trouble Key, follow the steps:
1. Remove the cover as shown in the illustration.
2. Insert the key in the key hole.
3. Turn key clockwise 15-20 degrees (until stopped) in order to unlock the safe. You will hear a
slight "click".
4. Rotate the knob counter clockwise 15-20 degrees.
5. Keep the drawer open until you have entered a new security code. Before entering your new
security code, turn the key back and remove the key and put the cover back in place.
6. Enter your new security code. (DO NOT STORE KEY IN SAFE)
7. Turn knob to it's upright, vertical position.
Installing to Floor
There is a clasp on the each side of the drawer. Press the clasps to remove the drawer to gain access to
the holes under the safe.
REPLACEMENT TROUBLE KEY/OVERRIDE KEY
Verification of ownership is required in order to receive replacement key. Contact Customer
Service at 1-636-532-9888 to verify registration, then complete the Replacement Form, along with
required Service Fees. The Replacement Form must include the Serial Number and Lock number, and
be notarized by a non-family member.
