USE OF THE WHEELCHAIR ASSEMBLY AND FOLDING To have the armrests locked in place you must place them over their guides and smoothly push them down. To remove them, you must, first, activate the lock and, then, pull them out. Footrests must be placed over their guides and pushed down, pressing, at the same time, their lock outwards and sliding them to the desired height and, then, letting go of the lock.
USER ADAPTATION Wheelchair users must take into account these three important aspects when choosing a wheelchair. On one hand, we have body features. The wheelchair must adapt to the user’s dimensions. On the other hand, it is important to consider the activity to which the wheelchair is going to be exposed (transfers, foldings...).
WHEELCHAIR USAGE Below you can find recommendations for a right use of the wheelchair by the user and their attendant: • Before using the wheelchair, check that it is set in its right position, with all its parts unfolded and on their place. •...

Do not hang anything on the backrest handles of the wheelchair, as there is a risk of tipping it over. • Brakes are designed to be used as stationary brakes, not dynamic ones. Forta will not be responsible for any problems derived from the wrong use of these brakes. •...
MAINTENANCE A preventive maintenance done regularly allows to preserve the wheelchair in optimal condi- tions and it helps to detect and sort out in time small problems that could evolve into important damages. With this, not only do you improve the daily security of the wheelchair but also, in the long term, you save time and money.
• Check screws and nuts periodically. • Mechanical maintenance must be carried out by specialized personal authorised by Forta. • If you find any problem on the structure or a bad performance of the KIT GIRO, do not continue to use it and contact our authorised personal.
DUO OPTION The Line Duo model has two sets of rear wheels of 600 and 250mm each. These wheels are interchangeable thanks to their quick release system.
