M1500, M2500, L100, L25 - Worm and Guide Rail Lubrication Instructions

Note: The M-Series products are expected to go End of Service Life on 30-June-2011.

The Sun L25 and L100 products are expected to go End of Service Life on 31-March-2011.

At the expiration of any existing contract, Quantum will no longer actively support these products

Use this procedure to properly lubricate both the WORM and the guide rail on

these libraries.

1. Unrack the library chassis and remove power to the chassis.

Remove the rack mount

Remove all magazines from the

4. Gently move the hand to the front center of the library.

5. Apply lubrication to the vertical and horizontal guide rails in ample dabs,

separated by inch increments.

Make sure to lubricate the sides of the rails, as well.
