    LASER BEAM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS This DVD player uses a pickup that emits a laser beam. Do not look directly at the laser beam coming from the pickup or allow it to strike against your skin. The laser beam is emitted from the location shown in the figure. When checking the laser diode, be sure to keep your eyes at least 30 cm away from the pickup lens when the diode is turned on.

    HOW TO SELF-CHECK AND INITIALIZE THE DVR with DVD Player 1. Turn on the DVR with DVD Player recorder. 2. To put the DVR with DVD Player recorder into the HDD mode, press [DVR] on the remote control unit. 3. To put the DVR with DVD Player recorder into the self-check mode, after pressing [ANGLE] button, press the [3], [6], and [9] buttons on the remote control in that order within three seconds.
