Octopot Enhancement Notes
Air Stones
Octopot Hybrid Grow Systems are designed to oxygenate plants without Air
Stones. Octopots are a passive, not active, hybrid hydroponic system. Adding Air
Stones to your Octopot can negatively affect the amount of dissolved oxygen in
the water, causing wider pH swings.
If you feel the use of Air Stones is necessary, or just want to try:
Run 10-15 min per hour, at low pressure
BENDING THE RULES FOR ORGANIC TEAS
Suspending heavy Organic Teas in the Hydro Reservoir may require
the addition of an Air Stone to keep nutrients well mixed.
Octopots are bottom fed systems, and top watering/feeding is not
generally recommended. However, organic nutrients can be washed
into the soil approximately once per week.
