Quick Start Guide

Connection and Driver Installation

To install the AQC111U USB-Ethernet Dongle, perform the following:
1. Obtain a USB v3.1 capable cable and connect the Type-C end of the cable to the
Dongle. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB Port in your computer.
2. Install the Driver for the Dongle that supports your OS. Drivers can be obtained from
Aquantia's website and/or Portal.
3. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Dongle.

LED Status

The Dongle has two LEDs – one LED indicates the link status and the other LED indicates the
link/traffic activity.

Link Speed LED Indicator

The Link Speed LED displays the following three states to indicate the link speed:
•
Green: this lit LED state indicates that a 5Gbps link speed is established.
•
Yellow: this lit LED state indicates that a 2.5Gbps, a 1Gbps, or a 100Mbps link speed
is established.
•
Off: this unlit LED state indicates that no link has yet been established.

Link Activity LED Indicator

The green Link Activity LED displays the following three states:
•
Off: this unlit LED state indicates that there is no link currently established.
•
On: this green lit LED state indicates that there is an established link, but there is
no traffic.
•
Flashing: this blinking green LED state indicates that there is traffic on the network.
