- Page 5 Always check if the brakes are functioning correctly before using the rollator. Squeeze both brake levers and try to roll the rollator forward. If the rear wheels do not rotate anymore but instead drag on the floor surface, it is because the rear wheels are locked in place, which means the breaks are functioning correctly.
