    INTRODUCTION The D-Xbasic is an adult active four-wheel folding frame wheelchair designed for urban environment in low resourced settings. D-Xbasic is compliant with WHO Guidelines and Training. Note: Please note that some of the equipment illustrated in this manual might be slightly different than the actual model.

    ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT Footrest assembly and adjustment Mount the removable footrests on the frame front rails. Twist the footrest to lock it in place The footrest height is adjustable. The footrest adjustment rail is provided with adjustment holes. Use the appropriate adjustment hole and tighten the fasteners.

    The wheelchair is provided with two rear wheel positions. Mount the rear axle sleeve in the active position (forward) or the safe position (rear) in the axle block on the frame. Tighten the axle sleeve nut. Brake adjustment The brake can be adjusted according to the rear wheel position and tyre type/ dimensions.
  • Page 5 To reduce the seat depth, undo the Velcro strap under the seat. Remove the Velcro strap under the seat completely. Fold the fabric at the front of the seat panel under the seat. Secure the seat fabric using the Velcro patch under the seat.
  • Page 6 The pressure relief cushion length must be adjusted, according to the seat depth. Remove the cushion base and the top foam from the cushion cover. Mark the cutting line AT THE FRONT of the cushion. Cut the cushion base and the cushion top foam, following the cutting line.

    Backrest adjustment The backrest is height and tension adjustable. The backrest height can be adjusted by using the adjustment holes in the push handle tubes. Use the appropriate adjustment hole. Tighten the push handles tightly using the push handle fasteners. Use the loops n the push handles to place the top backrest strap on the backrest frame.

    Place the backrest panel on top of the backrest straps at the front. Fold the backrest panel over the backrest straps. Secure using the Velcro on the backrest straps. Side guards assembly and adjustment The side guard plate and the side guard band can be assembled in various settings to obtain various side guard heights and lengths Select the desired mounting setting.
  • Page 9 The side guard assembly height can be adjusted by using one of the threaded holes in the side guard band. Select the threaded hole, as desired. Tighten the stop, using the supplied fastener. After adjusting the height and length of the side guard, insert the side guard band in the side guard mounting socket.

    Optional armrest pads assembly and adjustment The optional armrest with padding can be mounted on the existing side guard. Adjust the armrest height by selecting the mounting holes in side guard band. Tighten the optional armrest in place, using the supplied fasteners.
