LED

The Light Emitting Diode (LED) emits lights on the phone. The LED color and status such as a blinking light or
solid light communicate different information.
A solid green light is observed when the phone is receiving power.
Power Indicator
A blinking green light indicates there is an incoming call.
A solid green light is observed when you are on an active call and when dialing a number.
Line Keys
A blinking green light identifies the line with an incoming call.
No light indicates the line is idle.

Answer a Call

Use the handset, headset, or speaker to answer calls.
Handset
Pickup the handset.
Headset
Press the HEADSET
button.
Speaker
Press the SPEAKER
button.
Note: You can reject a call by pressing the soft key, Reject.

Place a Call

Place a call using the handset, headset, or speaker. During an active call, you can switch between handset,
headset, and speaker mode.
4.1 Handset
1. Pickup the handset.
2. Enter a number using the keypad.
3. Press # on the keypad or press the soft key, Send.
4.2 Headset
1. Press the HEADSET
button.
2. Enter a number using the keypad.
3. Press # on the keypad or press the soft key, Send.
4.3 Speaker
1. Press the SPEAKER
button.
2. Enter a number using the keypad.
3. Press # on the keypad or press the soft key, Send.
4.4 Make a Call from the History Log or Phonebook
Use the handset, headset, or speakerphone to place a call from your phone directories or history log.
1. Press the soft key, History, located on the idle page or press Menu – History/Directory.
2. Press the up and down navigation keys to move to and select the number you want to call.
3. Press the soft key, Send.

End a Call

Handset
Hang up the handset or press the soft key, Cancel.
Headset
Press the soft key, Cancel.
Speaker
Press the SPEAKER
button or press the soft key, Cancel.

Redial

Use the one touch button to dial the last number called.
1. Press the REDIAL
button.

Hold and Resume a Call

You can place an active call on hold when you are using a handset, headset, or speaker.
1. Press the HOLD
button or the soft key, Hold, during an active call.
2. Press the the HOLD
button again or press the soft key, Resume, to continue with the call.

Mute and Unmute

1. Press the MUTE
button to mute your microphone during a call.
2. Press
once more to unmute your microphone.

Transfer a Call

There are three options when transferring a call.
9.1 Blind Transfer
In a blind transfer, a call is sent directly to another number. Whether or not the person you transferred spoke to
someone or received a busy signal and hung up will never be known.
1. Press the TRANSFER
button or the soft key, Transfer, during an active conversation.
The call is placed on hold.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to using the keypad.
3. Press the TRANSFER
button or the soft key, Transfer.
9.2 Attended Transfer
In an attended transfer, the current call is placed on hold. A call is then placed to the transfer destination to
confirm whether the individual is available and will accept the transferred call.
1. Press the TRANSFER
button or the soft key, Transfer, during an active conversation.
The call is placed on hold.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to using the keypad or press the soft key, Send, or #.
3. If the call recipient will accept the transfer, press
9.3 Semi-Attended Transfer
In a semi-attended transfer, a call is only transferred when the destination number is ringing.
1. Press the TRANSFER
button or the soft key, Transfer, during an active conversation. The current call is
placed on hold.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to using the keypad and then press #.
3. Press
or the soft key, Transfer, to complete the transfer.

Hold a 5-Way Conference Call

Initiate a 5-way conference call using the instructions and scenario below.
Andy (A) and Nick (B) are currently in a conversation. They want to share their ideas and consult with Eric (C),
Kyanna (D), and Kaden (E).
1. Andy (A) calls Nick (B).
2. Once (A) and (B) are in an active call, (A) presses the Hold button or the soft key, Hold.
3. (A) presses the soft key, New Call and then places a call to Eric (C).
4. Once (A) is in an active call with (C), (A) presses the Conference button
or the soft key, Conference, to start a 3-way call between (A), (B), (C).
5. (A) presses the Hold button or the soft key, Hold, to pause the 3-way conference call.
6. (A) presses the soft key, New Call, and then calls Kyanna (D).
7. Once (A) is in an active call with (D), (A) presses the Conference button or
the soft key, Conference to start a 4-way call between (A), (B), (C), and (D).
8. (A) presses the Hold button or the soft key, Hold, to pause the 4-way conference call.
9. (A) presses the soft key, New Call and then places a call to Kaden (E).
10. Once (A) is in an active call with (E), (A) presses the Conference button or the
soft key, Conference, to start a 5-way call between (A), (B), (C), (D), and (E).
