The Core Innovations ANT800BAR antenna may be showing a strong signal but receiving weak or no signal due to several factors:
1. Interference and Obstructions – The reception may be affected by movement near the antenna, as noted when the picture went haywire if someone walked in front of it.
2. Antenna Positioning – The antenna needed to be adjusted frequently for optimal reception, indicating placement is crucial.
3. Distance from Broadcast Towers – Even though the antenna has an 80-mile range, actual reception depends on obstacles, terrain, and signal strength from the broadcast stations.
4. Channel Availability – Some channels were detected but had poor reception, leading to their removal. This suggests the antenna may pick up weak signals but struggle to maintain a stable connection.
5. Initial Startup Issues – The sound delay and periodic cutouts before repositioning indicate signal inconsistencies that improved with proper placement.

Proper placement, minimizing interference, and rescanning for channels can help improve reception.
