    SECTION 2 OPERATION 2.1 GENERAL The Cybertech A822P is a impact dot matrix printer. Data enters controller serial RS232 port. This data then converted characters commands. characters then converted to a bit images, stored in the dot buffer RAM. The contents of this buffer are then loaded into the print head.

    2.2 CONTROL PANEL 2.2.1 REPRINT/FEED SWITCH When this switch is actuated in the REPRINT position after the printer is first powered on a test print will occur. When data is sent to printer containing the Start/Stop message the last cycle will print.

    2.4 TAKE-UP UNLOADING 1. When it is desired to remove the stored paper from the take- up, open the front cover of the printer. 2.     SECTION 3 ELECTRICAL INTERFACE 3.1 INTRODUCTION The electrical interface can be divided into two sections, power and signal. 3.2 DATA INPUT INTERFACE 3.2.1 SERIAL INTERFACE The serial interface is designed to receive data and transmit printer status asynchronously at RS232C levels (+/- 12 to 12 vdc). Hardware handshaking is provided by the Busy/Ready signal line and software handshaking is controlled by Xon/Xoff.

    4.2.6 CONTROLLER SOFTWARE RESET (1B,40) When the printer receives a reset command it will assert a hardware busy and go through the same sequence as a power up. Allow about two seconds for this command. 4.2.7 SET LINE FEED ENABLE (1B 4A x) When this sequence is received a line feed is added/not added to receipt of a CR.

    CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS 4.2.14 SET HANDSHAKE TYPE (1B 48 x) If this sequence is received the handshake can be changed. If a "0" is received the unit is set to Hardware handshake, if a "1" is received the unit is set to Software handshake. This is a semi permanent stored byte internal to the microprocessor's EEprom.
