e-iPIII/T Step-by-Step Quick Install Guide
This Quick Install Guide provides quick and easy step-by-step installation instructions for your new eSupport
e-iPIII/T 1.4GHz Slot-1 processor upgrade. No adjustment of the jumpers is necessary; they are pre-configured
for your convenience.
Step 1
: Shut off your computer, disconnect the power cable, and
remove the case cover to access the motherboard.
Step 3
: Firmly insert the e-iPIII/T processor straight into the slot,
taking care to align the notch in the bottom of the processor with the
notch on the motherboard slot. Make sure the processor is fully inserted
into the slot, and engage the clips on top of the processor to hold it in
place.
Step 5
: Replace the case on the computer, plug it back in, and turn it on. Your new e-iPIII/T processor
upgrade is installed.

Step 2
: Locate the old Slot 1 Processor on the motherboard.
Disconnect the connector for the fan on the processor, and remove the
old processor from the slot on the motherboard. There may be clips on
the side of the processor or attached to the motherboard that need to be
disengaged for processor removal. Firmly pull the processor straight up
and out of the slot.
Step 4
: Connect the attached e-iPIII/T fan cable to any unused
connector from the power supply in the computer. If there are no unused
connectors, the e-iPIII/T power cable can be inserted in-line with a
previously existing connection. Only one side of the connector will fit.
