failure, significant corrosion of the pump metal components, and build-up of chemical
byproducts in the tank and throughout the pumping system.
NOTE: Running substances other than plain water can cause significant foaming
to occur in the pumping system – if the pump has been run out of water with a
foaming agent in the tank, the pump will likely need to be primed on subsequent
water tank refills to remove the foam and to develop proper pressure.
Remove the cap from the pump primer port and fill the pump as needed (Figure
2, Item 2) with clean water. Ensure that all the foam has been forced from the
pump by continually pouring water into the primer port until all foam has been
displaced.

SERVICING YOUR QTAC

Cleaning Your QTAC

Your QTAC water tank is best cleaned with plain water. If additional cleaning power is
needed, a small amount of dish or car washing soap may be used. Avoid heavy
washing of the pump engine and surrounding area. Avoid the use of high pressure
spray on the water tank as the decals and rubber components may be damaged.

Protecting Your QTAC

Your QTAC is built of welded UV-stabilized copolymer polypropylene red plastic.
However, like any colored material, extended exposure to direct sunlight can eventually
fade the finish of the tank, hoses, hose reel and even the Honda engine. To keep this
from happening, cover the QTAC if it is stored outside and in direct sunlight. Also,
consider using a UV inhibitor on the plastic and rubber parts after washing the system,
such as 303 Aerospace UV Protectant.
