Patient controlled oxygen
flow using the FlexO
Introduction
Your doctor has determined that oxygen supplements would be beneficial to you and
has prescribed a special flow setting to meet your needs. With FlexO
be able to increase the oxygen dose during exertion. The flow selector is individually
adjusted to the user for optimal oxygen supply during activity / rest. You can then
yourself – using a single handle - select between activity and rest mode, see figure 2
and 3. When changing to activity mode you get a short "puff - bolus dose" that can be
felt and is audible, so you are ready for activity. The puff is completely normal and it
shows that the activity flow is selected.
Intended use
FlexO is a complement to an oxygen concentrator that has flow meters where reading

is done via a ball, for patients in need of regulated oxygen flow depending on activity /
rest within predetermined levels.
Safety Precautions
Ensure that rest mode is selected when resting, so as not to get too high an oxygen
level. Check at regular intervals that your prescribed oxygen level is correct. This is
done by reading the ball in the flow meter on the oxygen concentrator during rest and
activity. In case of breathing difficulties, use your prescribed medication.
Regularly check the connection pipes and their function so that the couplings are
secure (not loose).
