100% (green) - 50% (yellow) - 0% (red) - track (hoisting capacity on moving track). Winch load capacity As for mobile cranes SPX424CDH/C+, the single-line pull max. load capacity of the winch is 800 kg (1760 lbs). To lift heavier loads modify the pulley configuration by using a double or triple line pull.
1.6 Operator’s training The machinery operator shall be properly trained for the correct and safe operation of the machinery. Training and instruction is made available by ORMET S.p.A.’s skilled personnel. Please apply to the manufacturer for further information. 1.7 Intended use The mobile crane is intended to handle loads by means of a hook, a winch or other accessories.
Supplier and by the Customer. The limited warranty covers components, materials and labour within the period mentioned above. In special situations, if the crane repair is not considered cost-effective, Ormet will replace the crane. EXCLUSIONS FOR WARRANTY Parts and components which have not been supplied by ORMET.

If the engine is cold, it is recommended to let the sparkplugs warm up the cylinder: turn the key switch on and wait for the similar warning light on the screen right side to switch off. (SPX424CDH ONLY) Turn the key switch to enable the radio remote control (this disables the control panel controls).
When the time is expired, the light turns off. Check that the preheating kit (option) is installed. 6.4 Handling of machinery SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ From control panel • Start the machinery (see paragraph “6.2 Machinery starting” page 60). • While holding the joystick, press the DEAD MAN’S push button (see paragraph “4.2 Controls”...
6.5 Stabilization of the machinery SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ Open the ‘OUTRIGGER ROTATION LOCK’ and rotate the outrigger outwards to its max 45° opening position (as indicated on the sticker) to reach max load capacity. Move the outrigger by hand to make sure it is locked.
6.6 Use of the machinery SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ Use the manual levers on the control panel or the radio remote control (option) (see “4.2 Controls” page 44). Boom rotation: Leftmost lever on both control panel and radio remote control. Push forwards for rightward rotation, pull backwards for leftward rotation.
6.7 Stop and laying-up of the machinery SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ A correct stop and laying-up procedure includes 4 steps. It is possible to stop the machinery anyway by performing the last 2 steps of the procedure here below. CAUTION!!! Before stopping and laying-up the machinery, make sure the load has been rested on the ground in a safe place and the hook has been released.
6.8 Closing of the outriggers The outriggers closing procedure is similar to their opening; follow the same indications. The SPX424CDH/C+ machinery is programmed NOT to operate the outriggers until all the following conditions are met: No load shall be hanging from the crane (Unloaded crane), extensions shall be completely retracted (Retracted extensions) and the position shall be as described in paragraph “6.7Stop and laying-...
6.9 Winch configurations The winch of machinery SPX424CDH/C+ can have two positions. These two configurations do not affect the winch performance but its overall dimensions, only. Let the rope free to move in order to change the winch position. Remove the pin, unscrew the nut and remove it completely.
DO NOT bypass, omit, or slip the rope outside the A2B counterweight otherwise a safety device will be avoided. 6.12 Emergency use of SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ ATTENTION!! CALL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN CASE THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY!! For emergency use it is necessary to remove some seals from the solenoid valve and use the manual levers to operate the hydraulic distributors.
6.14 LMI bypass of SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ CAUTION!! A Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system prevents the machinery tipping and overloading. The LMI bypass key switch enables the operator to temporarily ignore the load charts and overcome the limits set by the software for max 1 minute even without having the Level-1 password.
6.15 Manual starting of the SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ machinery SPX424CDH In the event of malfunction and failed starting of the engine, it is still possible to start the machinery in order to retrieve its safe working conditions and repair it.
In case one of these errors would occur, try the suggested solution and/or call the assistance. Any intervention non authorized by Ormet or by an authorized workshop might cause damage to the machinery and will nullify the warranty.
(oil change). Burn hazard – do not touch not surfaces. (Refer to the engine instructions). SPX424CDH – Do not use petrol or other flammable substances to clean the engine. SPX424CDH – As for engine maintenance activities always refer to the instructions for use delivered by the manufacturer of the engine supplied together with the machinery.
