    1.6 Operator’s training The machinery operator shall be properly trained for the correct and safe operation of the machinery. Training and instruction is made available by ORMET S.p.A.’s skilled personnel. Please apply to the manufacturer for further information. 1.7 Intended use The mobile crane is intended to handle loads by means of a hook, a winch or other accessories.

    Supplier and by the Customer. The limited warranty covers components, materials and labour within the period mentioned above. In special situations, if the crane repair is not considered cost-effective, Ormet will replace the crane. EXCLUSIONS FOR WARRANTY Parts and components which have not been supplied by ORMET.

    2.2 Noise exposure According to Annex VI of the Directive 2000/14/EC SPX424CDH has a LWA noise emission level of 101 dB. If workers are exposed to a time-weighted average sound level of 85 dB(A) or more, the use of PPE (protective earmuffs, protective earplugs, etc.) are recommended.

    6.7 Stop and laying-up of the machinery SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ A correct stop and laying-up procedure includes 4 steps. It is possible to stop the machinery anyway by performing the last 2 steps of the procedure here below. CAUTION!!! Before stopping and laying-up the machinery, make sure the load has been rested on the ground in a safe place and the hook has been released.

    6.9 Winch configurations The winch of machinery SPX424CDH/C+ can have two positions. These two configurations do not affect the winch performance but its overall dimensions, only. Let the rope free to move in order to change the winch position. Remove the pin, unscrew the nut and remove it completely.

    DO NOT bypass, omit, or slip the rope outside the A2B counterweight otherwise a safety device will be avoided. 6.12 Emergency use of SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ ATTENTION!! CALL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN CASE THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNITS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY!! For emergency use it is necessary to remove some seals from the solenoid valve and use the manual levers to operate the hydraulic distributors.

    6.14 LMI bypass of SPX424CDH – SPX424C+ CAUTION!! A Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system prevents the machinery tipping and overloading. The LMI bypass key switch enables the operator to temporarily ignore the load charts and overcome the limits set by the software for max 1 minute even without having the Level-1 password.
