  • Page 3 NIXIE ALARM CLOCK The alarm clock face is composed of Nixie Tubes. Each tube contains a wire-mesh anode and multiple cathodes shaped like numbers. The tube is filled with a gas, usually neon. Connecting cathode to electric voltage ignites an electric discharge which will surround the number with orange glow.
  • Page 4 The parts were designed to fit together as tightly as possible so that their connection would therefore be as strong as possible. For this reason, more assembly force is required.
  • Page 5 Tip: Rest both parts on a solid surface and push against it.
  • Page 9 Make sure the battery is inserted. The battery needs to be replaced once in approximately 5 to 6 years. CR1216 Insert the battery into the holder with the + symbol facing away from the main board!
  • Page 10 Make sure that the back board is oriented correctly in relation to the rest of the alarm clock.
  • Page 11 Thanks to the precision of the joints, more assembly force is required to achieve a firm connection. We recomend using a solid surface and pushing against it.

    1. TIME SETTING 4. ALARM SETTING To set an alarm press the button. Use the buttons on the back to set the time and the alarm. As soon as the first pair of digits starts flashing, you can start setting the alarm time using the buttons.
