Section 1 – Overview CAUTION Before installing the MC450 coring attachment, be sure to refer to the “Safety”, “Pre-Start Inspection” and “Machine Start Up” sections of the power units Operator’s Manual. Since Utilicor Technologies Inc. has no direct control over machine application or operation, following the proper safety practices is the responsibility of the owner and/or operator.
Until the attachment lock pins are fully in the locked position, the attachment has not been safely secured to the machine. Do not stand near the attachment until it is fully secured to the machine. Installation of MC450 Coring Attachment To install the coring attachment: Position the attachment on a level surface.

If the pins are not engaged shift the unit Left or Right until the pins drop into the locked position. Lower MC450 to the ground and turn off the mini skid steer.
3. Using the Lift Arm Controls (5) tilt the MC450 back and raise the MC450 off the ground before moving the unit. Using the Drive Controls (1 or 2) position the MC450 core drum over the desired location.

Auxilary Flow Control. 2. Pull the Control Lever back (Forward Flow) to engage the hydraulics. Note: The MC450 is equipped with a one way valve on the tank line to prevent the oil from flowing in the wrong direction. If the unit does not...
The Lock Down Latch is installed to prevent the coring drum assembly from creeping down during transport. The Lock Down Latch should always be engaged when transporting, moving or storing the MC450. DO NOT OPERATE THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE THE LOCK DOWN LATCH IS ENGAGED.
If the down pressure is too high, the pressure will begin to lift the MC450 off the ground and change the coring angle. Should this occur back off the steering orbital until the MC450 settles back on its base. Then continue the coring.

10.Insert a screw driver or small pry-bar in the Kerf and gently apply force. If the core moves you have successfully cut the core and you can move the MC450 to the next cut location. NOTE: If the core does not move, continue with the coring process.
However unit should be kept as low as possible at all times. 8. Do not use the D-Hooks on the MC450 to secure the mini skid steer to the trailer. Alway lash mini skid steer to trailer as per opertaors manual.
Rotary Coring and Reinstatement: 1. Accuracy: The 2 3/8" diameter PDC central pilot bit, which is integral to the Utilicor coring process, acts as a concentric guide for the coring drum, centering and stabilizing it to ensure a fast and accurate cut.
Slow, continuous turning of the orbital control wheel will allow the coring teeth to work and cut through the pavement without experiencing drum kick back, or stalling of the hydraulic motor. You are applying too much downward pressure if the drum stops turning, or if the MC450 lifts off the ground.
Important: Caution must be taken when inspecting, or touching, any portion of the equipment that maybe excessively hot to the touch. Important: Refer to the owner’s manual of the power souece to which your MC450 is attached to. For all service and maintenance related questions.
