100 hours (roughly 4 days). After that, the folding resistance of grooved cartons increases during storage time. Sufficiently scoring the carton is the best way to ensure it can be stored for a relatively long time and it will work well in carton machines. 200246 CMK Operators Manual (02/06/2006)

Out of alignment gluing usually only occurs when the wrong fiber direction was selected. The fibers must always run perpendicular to the longitudinal seal of a carton. Figure 3.6 200246 CMK Operators Manual (02/06/2006)
  • Page 33: Folds

Scoring of the four groves that run parallel to the longitudinal seam is a requirement for machine cartons. A scoring angle of at least 120° must be achieved. For safety reasons, however, the greatest possible angle up to 180° should not be attempted. 200246 CMK Operators Manual (02/06/2006)
