    Buttons Use the ‘Down’ button to start sampling of the purge gas. The screen will - - . - - change from ‘ ’ to the O2 concentration in either percentage (>= 1% O2) and PPM (< 1% O2). Pressing the ‘Down’ button again will stop the sampling and the HPM returns to standby mode.

    Sampling 2.4.1 Inline magnetic filter connection If the HPM unit is to be used on pipework where a lot of grinding takes place, e.g. grinding out bullets, it is advised that the inline magnetic filter is fitted to stop any grinding dust getting on to the sensor. The inline magnetic filter connects between the HPM and the sampling tube hose.

    When purchased, an additional sensor for the inline measurement of the Purging Gas Dew Point and moisture volume is fitted in the HPM sensor block, this can be fitted to either the HPM-01 or HPM-02 base units.   • Page 9 The Dew Point is on the right-hand side and will display from -8°C to -60°C in 1°C steps. The moisture value is on the left-hand side and will read from 3000ppm down to 0ppm, from 3000 to 100ppm it will read in 100ppm steps, from 100 to 0 it will read in 25ppm steps.

    Data Logging Measured Oxygen Values can be logged to the HPM units’ internal memory using the logging facility. Recorded data can be downloaded from the unit using the USB connection. Data can be directly imported into the data viewing and reporting software included with the HPM.

    Use the ‘Up’ and Down’ buttons to set the limit values; press and hold the selected button to increase the speed of change. Press the ‘Log’ button to toggle between the ‘High’ limit and ‘Low’ limit. Once the Limits have been set to the required levels press the ‘Reset’ button to Exit the Setup screen and save the limit levels.

    After the purging gas has been run for five minutes, while the gas is still running, press and hold the ‘Up’ button until the screen shows ‘Zero Complete’. Release the ‘Up’ button. The field calibration is now complete, and the purge gas can be removed. NB: Running a field calibration on a gas mix containing O2 and/or CO2 will cause the measured gases to be inaccurate! If this occurs, the field calibration should be run again on the appropriate gas.

    Calibration All HPM meters are supplied with valid and traceable 12-month calibration certification. TVC recommend that the HPM unit is returned to TVC, or a TVC- approved agent, for recalibration and service annually. Disposal To meet our obligations under the WEEE directive, we have a collection point for the recycling of this product once it has reached the end of its normal working life.
