My famag im-8s just stopped mid mixing

A Famag IM-5S mixer could stop mid-mixing due to several possible reasons:

1. Defective Control Board – If power is supplied and neither the bowl sensor nor the bowl guard safety switch is the issue, the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
2. Bowl Guard Safety Switch Issue – If the switch does not engage properly, it may disrupt power to the mixer.
3. GFCI Tripping – Some home GFCI outlets may be incompatible with the mixer's Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) circuitry, causing power interruptions.

Before inspecting or troubleshooting, ensure the mixer is disconnected from power.
