  • Page 8: Air Inlet Removal

    Air Inlet Removal NLET EMOVAL Models Equipped With a Strut Tower Bar: Use an 8mm to remove the screw holding the wiring harness to the passenger’s side strut tower. Wiring Harness Screw (Passenger’s Side) Plastic Wiring Holder Unhook the plastic wiring harness holder from the passenger’s side strut tower stud.
  • Page 9 Air Inlet Removal Remove the (1) small hose from the air inlet tube by squeezing the retaining clip and pulling back on the hose. PCV Hose Disconnect the medium-size PCV hose by rotating the locking clip up and pulling back on the hose. Large Hose Use pliars to compress the clamp holding the large hose to the inlet tube.

    Fascia Removal ASCIA EMOVAL Raise the vehicle just enough to access the undercladding hardware. Secure with Push Clips jack stands. Use a fl at screw driver to remove the (8) plastic clips that secure the radiator cover. Remove cover. Use a fl at screw driver to remove the (6) undercladding plastic push-clips.
  • Page 11 Fascia Removal Push down on the plastic push clip to remove the plastic stud housing. Plastic Stud Housing Removed Use an 8mm to remove the (6) screws at the top of the fascia. 8mm Screws 10 There are (2) screws (1 on each side) under the weather seal near the headlight.
  • Page 12 Fascia Removal If equipped with active shutters: 13 Remove the active shutters from the vehicle by removing the (4) 10mm bolts and (2) push pins. 14 In order to release it from the vehicle remove the (2) 5.5mm bolt from the backside.
  • Page 13 Fascia Removal All Models: 18 2018 Models: Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor and its wiring harness from the front bumper. 19 Remove the driver’s and passenger’s side plastic radiator shrouds by removing the (2) push pins and pulling the shrouds out the front of the vehicle.

    Cooling System Removal OOLING YSTEM EMOVAL Use pliars to disconnect the (3) hoses attached to the coolant reservoir. Remove the front 3/8” rubber hose from the vehicle. Disconnect from the radiator located below the radiator mount. Remove the bottom 5/8” rubber hose from the vehicle.

    Throttle Body HROTTLE Remove the throttle body position sensor plug from the throttle body by pulling the red tab outward and then pulling the plug away. TPS Sensor Plug Remove the throttle body from the intake plenum by removing the (4) bolts using a 13 mm socket.
  • Page 16 Throttle Body Rotate the throttle body180 degrees from it’s original position as shown in the picture. Install the throttle body to the throttle body spacer using the provided (4) M10-1.5 x 45 mm SHCS. Plug the throttle body position sensor back into the throttle body.

    ProCharger Bracket and Head Unit HARGER RACKET AND Remove the (1) timing cover stud and ground wire from the timing cover located at the top right of the passenger valve cover. Remove the (1) timing cover bolt from the timing cover located at the top left of the passenger valve cover.
  • Page 18 ProCharger Bracket and Head Unit Mount the sub bracket onto the vehicle 1.75” Tube by tightening the (3) M8-1.25 x 90 mm Spacer SHCS through the bracket and through either the 1.75” round spacers or 1.839” round spacer into the timing cover.
  • Page 19 1.437” round spacers then into the sub bracket. Tech Tip: Route the radiator hose beneath the procharger. At this point it may be easier to disconnect the radiator hose from the thermostat housing. It will make it easier to access the bolts.

  • Page 23 Intercooler & Tubing NTERCOOLER NSTALL Use a 10mm to remove the (2) screws holding the factory upper radiator brackets (each side). Remove the brackets Install the supplied rubber isolators over the top radiator mounting posts. The rubber should sit approximately 1/2” down from the top of the post.
  • Page 24 Intercooler & Tubing Stage 2 Intercooler Option Only: Disconnect the wiring harness retainers holding the main wiring harness behind the front bumper. Set the harness on top of the bumper to provide clearance for the intercooler. Wiring Harness Retainers (Stage 2 ONLY) Slide the intercooler up between the bumper and the condenser.
  • Page 25 Intercooler & Tubing 11 Use a T15 torx to remove the (2) screws retaining the factory MAF sensor to the factory airbox. 12 Install the provided MAF block off plate onto the factory airbox using the (2) screws. MAF in Factory Air Inlet 13 Insert the MAF sensor into the intercooler plenum on the driver’s side.
  • Page 26 Intercooler & Tubing NTERCOOLER UBING Tech Tip: Secure each coupler connection with a #52 hose clamp t-bolt clamps, and #64 hose clamp. It is best practice to slide the hose clamp over the coupler, keeping it loose until all of the connections have been made and adjusted.

  • Page 33 Surge System Profl ow Surge Valve Install the 1.5” 90° rubber hose over the bung on tube #380. Secure with a #24 hose clamp. Insert the ProFlow surge valve into the open end of the 1.5” hose. The valve can be installed in either direction.

    Secure with a #64 hose clamp. P-1X ONLY: Trim the 3.75” silicone coupler to 2” total length. ProCharger Inlet Coupler Installed Remove the air intake silencer from the factory airbox by pulling it straight off of the airbox.
  • Page 36 Air Inlet Drill a 5/8” hole in the middle of the 3.5” to 4” coupler as shown. Drill Air Box Coupler Insert the plastic 5/8 barb fi tting into the PCV line and into the drilled hole in the silicone coupler as shown.   • Page 40 Fuel Pump Booster Remove the lower part of the back seat. Locate the fuel pump driver module and unplug it. Fuel Pump Driver Module Locate the white and red wires on the fuel pump booster in the trunk. Extend these wires with the white and red extra wire supplied.
