  • Page 3 Introduction OVERVIEW OF OPERATION AND UNIT DESIGN The DPMU is designed to maintain 35°F interior temperature at 120°F outside temperatures while stationary. The unit is designed to run primarily on 240V 50A shore power. The DPMU is additionally equipped with a back-up generator to provide emergency and short-term power supply. A 240VAC 50A power service is required to operate the onboard refrigeration unit and battery charger.
  • Page 4 DPMU BASIC OPERATION TRANSPORT AND ENTRY DOORS The containerized DPMU is equipped with two (2) sets of doors; one (1) pair of transport doors that lock and seal the DPMU during travel and one (1) refrigerated entry door that is specially designed to seal the refrigerated compartment and maintain temperature.

    LIGHTING The DPMU is equipped with internal and external 12VDC LED lighting. All lights are operated from a single switch panel located on the interior left wall. The switch panel is activated by turning the Master 12VDC Power Switch (located on the side of the power distribution box) to ON. All switches are backlit and are operated by depressing the switch desired.

    GENERATOR POWER Ensure generator has fuel, fuel shut-off switch is in the ON position, main circuit breaker is in the ON position. Start generator according to instructions found in generator manual. NOTE: As a safety feature, the transfer switch will not transfer generator power for 20 to 45 seconds after startup.     USE CAN CAUSE ELECTRICUTION. ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN REFRIGERATION UNIT The onboard refrigeration unit is controlled by a controller located in a waterproof box mounted to the side of the power distribution box. After 240VAC power is supplied to the DPMU, the refrigeration unit is turned on/off and temperature can be set on the controller located inside the power distribution box.

    ENTRY RAMP A 1,500 lb. capacity entry ramp is stowed inside the container. After positioning the container and securing the transport doors, unfold the ramp with the flat, punched surface facing up. Secure the mounting tabs on the ramp into the mounting receivers on the DPMU rear wall, under the entry door. The ramp is designed to be left in place while deployed.

THE POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX COVER SHOULD BE CLOSED AND LATCHED AT ALL TIMES UNLESS REQUIRED TO CONTROL REFRIGERATION UNIT, PERFORM MAINTENANCE OR TROUBLESHOOTING. THE POWER DISTRIBUTION PANEL CONTAINS HIGH VOLTAGE. IMPROPER USE CAN CAUSE ELECTRICUTION.
