Techtrol Level Indicator Controller –TLIC
TLIC is used in conjunction with 2 wire or 4 wire transmitter for remote indication and control
Pre ‐ installation check
 Ensure that no physical damage is caused to TLIC due to
during transit.
 Connect power supply to controller
 Connect transmitter/ calibrator output of 4‐20mA to I/P
terminals of TLIC with multi‐meter in series.
 Switch on the supply, observe display shows some
readings.
 Adjust input of 4mA and display shoes lowest value.
 Increase I/P gradually from 4 to 20mA & observe increase
in displayed value to its maximum.

Installation
During installation, please ensure...
 Identify mounting location away from high voltage cables,
contactors.
 The ambient temp around location should be maintained
below 50⁰C
 TLIC Should be protected from direct sunlight by using sun
shield.
Panel Mtd (Fig 1) –
Prepare 92 x 92 mm cutout on panel and mount the TLIC
from front and secure it in place through fixing clamps.
 Wall Mtd (fig 2) –
Mounting surface should be flat and without vibrations
Drill holes at appropriate location. Mount TLIC on identified
location and secure it on four mounting hole.
Termination and Wiring
 During wiring, supply should be kept off for human safety &
prevention of accidents.
 Connect 230VAC to supply terminal of TLIC. In case of
24VDC supply, ensure correct polarity.
 Connect 4‐20mA output of 2 wire transmitter to input
terminals of TLIC in series with 24 V DC o/p terminals (refer
fig 3). Ensure distance between transmitter & TLIC does not
exceed 500 Ohm (Max load)
 Whenever Re‐transmission is provided, it is isolated type (
max load 400 ohms)
