3.2.1 GENERATOR MAINTENANCE Keeping the unit clean and dry. Operate and store the unit in a clean dry environment where it it is away from excessive dust, moisture or any corrosive vapors. Cooling air slots in the generator must not become clogged with snow, leaves, or any other foreign material.
The engine exhaust muffler has a spark arrestor screen. Inspect and clean the screen at least once each year. If unit is used regularly, inspect and clean more often. If using the generator on any forest-covered, brush-covered or grass-covered unimproved land, it must equipped with a spark arrestor.
