Safety disconnector Safety disconnectors must be disconnected before performing any maintenance or repair work for high voltage equipment. NOTE It may be needed to lift the vehicle in order to access the safety disconnector. Locate the safety disconnectors on each battery assembly To unplug the safety disconnector: Safety disconnector has a 350A fuse inside the plug.
NOTE Make sure the vehicle is dry and no water or foreign materials will contaminate the safety disconnector when disconnected. 2.3 Acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) The acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) warns other road users about an approaching electric vehicle. The AVAS is switched on when the vehicle’s drive system is activated, and vehicle starts moving.
3 Climate control 3.1 Air Conditioning Control The air conditioning can be turned on only when the electric drive is activated. With the electric drive turned off, only ventilation is available. To turn on / off the air conditioning, press A/C button on the climate controller and set the power manually using the Novus instrument display (see section 5.2, Climate).
3.2 Heating system Turn on / off heating by setting heater's power manually in the Novus instrument display (see section 5.2, Climate). Heater’s temperature and fan speed is controlled by climate controller NOTE Using more heater's power will decrease the driving range. 4 Driving and parking 4.1 Driving Starting the vehicle Fasten the seat belt. Press the start/stop button twice to turn the ignition on and start the vehicle. Depress the brake pedal. Check on the Novus instrument display to make sure that the green READY indicator is active (see section 5.2, Warnings).

NOTE When the Novus drive system is activated, opening any door causes the System Activated warning message to appear in the Novus display. Forward driving With your foot on the brake pedal select D (drive) position using the gear selector .

NOTE It is important to stop the vehicle fully when switching from D (drive) to R (reverse) and back. If the vehicle is still rolling, driving direction might not be changed. Turn off the vehicle Fully stop the vehicle. Hold the brake pedal depressed. Push P (parking) button .
With 0% SOC remaining, the battery reserve is used for driving. The power is limited to 50%. High voltage battery system failure warning appears on the Novus instrument display (see section 5.2, Warnings). The battery reserve can be used for 10-15 km, then the maximum speed is reduced to 50 km/h.

• Make sure there is no water or foreign materials in the charge port, charge connector or electrical plug and they are not damaged or affected by rust or corrosion. If any of these conditions are noticeable, do not charge the battery. This may result in a short circuit or electric shock and could cause a fire which may result in serious personal injury or death.
4.3 Parking for short and long durations Important • Avoid storing a vehicle in temperatures below -25°C for over 7 days. • Ensure that the battery charge is below at least 80% before charging. • It is recommended to never discharge the battery for less than 20% SOC.
