Proper use
The adapter is exclusively designed for use in motor vehicles for charging electronic devices
with a low level of power consumption, e.g. navigation systems or mobile phones. The
adapter is not intended for heating up cigarette lighters.
Only use the adapter as described in this instruction manual. Any other use will be deemed
as not in accordance with the instructions and may lead to damage of property or injury to
persons.
The manufacturer or vendor accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect
use.
Safety notes
WARNING!
Risk of accident!
Improperly tampering with the adapter, mounting
it improperly or loose cables may cause impair-
ment when driving motor vehicles. The adapter
could become a dangerous projectile. The driver
could get caught in the cable. This could result in
accidents.
− Never tamper with the adapter while driving.
− Secure the adapter with the double-sided adhesive tape in-
cluded in the product contents or similar mounting materials.
− Regularly check to make sure that the adapter is secure.
− Tie the excessive length cable together. Never let the cable
hang freely out of driver's reach.
WARNING!
Danger of suffocation!
If children swallow the packaging or small parts or
catch themselves, they could choke.
− Keep packaging parts and small parts away from children.
− Do not allow children to play with the adapter.
CAUTION!
Risk of short circuit!
Improper handling of the adapter may result in a
short-circuit. This may cause a fire.
− Only use the adapter with a proper, undamaged fuse of the
same fuse type (see section "Technical data").
− Replace the fuse after a short-circuit (see section "Inserting/
changing the fuse").
− Never insert metallic objects such as keys, coins or paper clips
in the opening of the adapter sockets or in the USB ports.
NOTICE!
Using the adapter when the motor is not running
could drain the vehicle battery. You may not be
able to start the vehicle as a result.
− Only charge devices while the motor is running.
