The following symbols are used in this Operator Manual to bring your attention to important information: Caution! Danger of injury and / or death. This symbol indicates that operating the Bod-Jet involves the risk of injury to, or death of, the operator or drivers.
Nevertheless, using the system in an unintended fashion or not heeding the safety information may cause injury to, or death of the operator and/or pilots and/or other persons. In addition, the Bod-Jet system and other property of the operator, pilots or other persons may be damaged or destroyed. For this reason, we urge you to read this Operators Manual and the safety information contained within it carefully before you operate your Bod-Jet system for the first time.

• Repairs and maintenance work on the Bod-Jet, batteries and chargers may only be carried out by an authorised Bod-Jet service partner. Work of this type is dangerous and may result in severe injury or cause damage to the Bod-Jet, battery box and charger if not carried out by an authorised Bod-Jet service partner.

Manual 4. OPERATION BEFORE YOU START Each operator should have received a full set up and initiation training session from a Bod-Jet authorised technician prior to launch. In addition, ensure you have read and understood the Operator Manual thoroughly. 4.1 Start-up The battery box is delivered in a partially charged state.
R2: Go Never run the Bod-Jet out of the water for longer than approx. 10 seconds. The drive unit is designed exclusively for use in water. Operation out of the water leads to overheating due to the lack of water to cool the device, thereby causing irreparable damage to the drive unit.
To turn the board, pilots should shift their weight in the direction they want to go, while pulling the bow of the Bod-Jet in the same direction. Pilots should lean into the curve just as they would a bicycle. The lower part of the pilots body that is trailing in the water acts as a tail fin.
Never carry the Bod-Jet by the control grips! If the Bod-Jet is to be left in the water, the operator must ensure that it is properly moored. Ensure that the Bod-Jet cannot become unattached, injure others, or obstruct their path.
5. CARE & MAINTENANCE Your Bod-Jet maintenance provider will deal with all the necessary technical maintenance and servicing required to keep your system running. However, there are certain things you must do to ensure your Bod-Jet is kept in a safe working condition.
